In the completion of my Bachelor of Business and Bachelor of Branded Fashion Design, I have discovered my enthusiasm for luxury womenswear. My designs are focused on sustainability and passion for artist collaborations which allow collection concepts to grow naturally.
Juxtaposing traditional military silhouettes and utilitarian features inspired by uniforms throughout history with modernised feminine fabrics and palette, enhanced with military digital print. A sense of defiance against the patriarchal values of the armed forces are communicated by implementing design features the ‘incorrect’ way onto garments and soft accessories in an animated way... conceptualised by the strictness and lack of individuality drilled into members, the inherent meaning of a uniform is reimagined, into the complete opposite of its intention.
