My name is Morgan and I am from Windsor in the Hawkesbury area. I love travelling within Australia and being able to make amazing memories with friends going camping, four-wheeling driving, and attending rodeos. I am looking for work in the Interior Design field somewhere close to Western Sydney or Parramatta.

Country Abode

The project was to renovate an existing home for a family of 4 with two small kids on a working farm in the Blue Mountains area. It was an owner-builder project with a budget of $150,000. Organisation, storage and easy maintenance were the main priorities and the large garage could be converted to add to the floor area. There was three items that the clients owned that they wished to be restored and included in the project including an armchair, whiskey cabinet and a hall table. While working with the group, we decided that splitting the house into rooms or areas was the best option for the time frame and each person was given two rooms each to design and complete. I had the job of designing the laundry and kitchen areas. The brief from the client was a modern country home that included splashes of colour where appropriate. Designing the laundry and kitchen, each has mature colours of rust and blue accompanied by matching hardware to improve the flow of the two rooms. Both spaces include a vast amount of storage, including cupboards for storage of ironing boards or drying racks in the laundry and spice cabinets in the kitchen with a double-wide door pantry.

Contemporary Application - Art Deco

The project included choosing an Australian Interior Design style period and research it including the influences, the main features, and it's history. I chose Art Deco and created a design board of inspiration pics to create a modern Art Deco living and dining room in Sketchup. I then used Vray to create a series of photorealistic renders including a 360-degree render view.
